Encouraged by an excellent first experience I decided to start work on a second album, one more carefully planned, elaborate and personal. A more authentic Still Morris in the rough.
That is how Face To face came to be, with new melodies and new songs, this time around written exclusively by myself, with the support of Pepe Milán on production and musical arrangements; Xavier Escutia as a songwriter and lyricist and Dani Magañaa helping me on a creative level.
I have aimed very high, on Now I know I relied on top-level collaborations from local musicians, now I have attempted a great leap forwards adding national and international musicians to an exquisite and thoughtful production in charge of Pepe Milán.
The album is comprised of 13 previously unreleased tracks and a video on which we count on the help of well-known musicians such as Vicens Climent on drums, Juanan Torrandell and Angel Cubero on bass, Norbert Fimpel on sax, José Salvador, Joss Martin and Dani Magaña on guitars, José María Aguiló on cello, Pep Lluis García on percussion, Emili Gener on keyboards, Ali Domínguez on violin, Raul Martínez on stand-up bass and Victor Uris on harmonica.
Face To Face was recorded in four different studios in Majorca and Madrid and it will hopefully be released in the autumn of 2011 by Producciones Blau and Discmedi, and Warner.
